Grace Brings Change
Over the past several weeks, I have had the opportunity of talking with several people who are diving deeper into understanding the grace that God has given. These are people who have been in the church world for years and are now having an “AHA!” moment of how powerful His grace really is. As a pastor, I would love to say that I have it all figured out and know all there is to know about His grace- but I would be stupid to even begin to communicate this. What I do know is that His grace has no limits and I am a man in pursuit of a greater understanding if it. I also know that grace changes lives!
One man who served in a church for 30 years said this “I feel like after all this time, this grace understanding has gone from a head knowledge to real heart connection. I am realizing now how much the Lord really loves me.” Pretty awesome stuff! You see, this is what God’s grace does, it opens up areas at the core of us and we experience God’s love like never before.
Another lady with tears running down said this “I have been in church for years and I am still struggling over truly believing the love of God for me. I have always heard that God loves me but when I began to allow for His grace to become more than just head knowledge, my life has been transformed. I am now not only receiving His love at a deeper level, but I am able to love to others like never before.” You see, HIs grace opens up areas of our hearts that once were locked up.
There ares so many more of these stories that I could share but I dont have time right now. I do want to encourage to take a season and focus on His love for you and not so much your love for HIm. I’m not saying not to love HIm, but the only way we can truly love HIm is because He first opened up the door of love to us. Once you get that truth, you will begin see His grace bring change like you never thought was possible.
A couple of things:
- Grace is not a one-time message, it is a lifestyle!
- Grace should not be an embarrassment to a Christ follower!
- Grace and Jesus go hand in hand!
- Grace will affect every area of your life.
- Jesus = Grace and Truth
- Pursue His grace and watch what you find!
