Going Downtown Q&A’s
As you probably already know, Cross Current will be heading downtown for the summer. We are pretty pumped about this adventure. Tracee and I are looking for some great things as we all pull together to advance God’s plans and purposes throughout the Blue Water area. Over the past couple of months, I have been asked some great questions about our journey to the center of the city. So I want to take a minute and answer the most popular ones— just so that we are all together.
Question- Where do I park? Answer - You can feel free to park in either the north or south parking lots. And it is FREE!! How cool is that?!?!?
Question- Where will the CC offices be located during the summer? Answer- The CC offices will not be moving at all! Same place-same function.
Question- What are we doing for the kidz this summer? Answer- Our awesome kidZone team has put together an fun-filled summer of adventure! Complete with blow up rides, activities, great singing and dancing, and so much more. The theme is “The Quest for the King” They will be in the arena part of McMorran and it will be a blast! Safe and easy for parents and kids!
Question- Will we be going to one service through the summer? Answer- No- LOL! (this means Laugh Out Loud for those who do not know) When we transitioned to two services, it was to create another opportunity for new guests, volunteers and the CC family to attend. It was not about packed out numbers as much as it was about opportunity. And the overall feeling was to stay with two services and to have as little amount of changes as possible. We realize that McMorran has a little more seating, but that just gives all of us more of an opportunity to invite friends and family. Sounds like a great plan!
Question- How can I stay connected during the summer? Answer- The biggest way is to get involved on any one of the teams. This allows for you connect with others outside of the Weekend services. Other ways might include website, Pastors blogs, sign up for the e-letter, CC’s picnic at Pinegrove this summer, other small groups. You can also get involved with CC Community events throughout the summer. There are so many opportunities to get connected so I encourage you to visit our welcome center for more info. The Fall is full of ways to get connected at CC. We will keep you in the know!
Question- When is CC coming back to Landmark for services? Answer- Right now our plan is to be back to Landmark for our services August 22nd. As always, we will keep you updated as sometimes things change.
